Black Brick Residence is a privately owned space in Red Hook, Brooklyn, NY.

The home has 6000 square feet of interior space. The main living room has 25ft ceilings, dramatic floor to ceiling curtains, skylights, and concrete floors with walnut and blackened steel accents throughout. The kitchen is open plan with a 15ft island, walk in pantry and wine cellar, Sub Zero/Wolf professional appliances and chefs layout. The library and study is cantilevered outwards over the 40ft lap pool and hot tub, and the nesting sliding doors to the ground floor garden open to over 40ft of unparalleled indoor/outdoor space.

A floating staircase leads up to the second floor to three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a playroom. Down the translucent mesh screened hallway is a movie theatre with surround sound system which also doubles as a dramatic balcony overlooking the ground floor. A beautiful outdoor space, accessible from the movie theatre as well as from the guest bedroom overlooks the cobble stone street below.

The third floor contains a light filled sitting room with wall to wall sliding doors/windows which open to provide 20 feet of open air indoor outdoor space connecting to a large deck clad in Brazilian wood with vegetable garden, outdoor kitchen and dining area. Views of the Statue of Liberty can be seen while grilling dinner. The sitting room leads into the master bedroom and bathroom, with 4’ x 6’ travertine marble slabs dramatically connecting the bedroom to the bathroom. The master bedroom has an additional private deck and sliding doors/windows that open to 30 ft wide. Views of the waterfront and boats going by can be experienced from the black resin bathtub or steam shower.
